April showers are boosted by El Niño this year, so far. Should be less wet fairly soon.
I was reading a grown up meteorological report thr other day. They're forecasting el nino weakening throughout May and a shift into La nina from June. Apparently the last 4 hot summers in the last 5 years were due to La nina giving a potential for another very hot dry summer going on until October ish. I could be mis remembering it slightly but i think that's the gist.

It was sunny this morning between light showers. Poured down at 5am ish and drizzle on and off through the day.
Breakfast was at a lovely little cafe right next to a set of locks on the canal. Food was crap but service, setting etc was really nice.
