Our planning permission runs out in 3 months.
We've been waiting 12 months for a builder.
Quote has increased from £200k to £280k.
Funds are sort of organised.
Little choice really. :(
Make a start, ie dig a foundation, lay in some drainage etc, once the job has started you have activated the permission, you might take a while to finish though......

They've altered the wording on it and it needs to be finished by.....
Class Q?
It has always said that for class Q. To be completed within 3 years of the planning being passed IIRC. We have successfully extended on more than one occasion and it is also relatively easy to get full planning if it does become an issue. (done that too)

I’d make a start, I can’t see things dropping much to make a difference. Might be some deals to be had if you’re not in rush, but I think anyone good will alway be busy.

Amazing the amount of stuff that is no longer available…from Russia etc due to War.
Timber supplies reduced to zero…etc etc.
Need to be acquiring materials etc well in advance even if it means putting in store.
Far end of the build things like Cookers….etc can virtually unavailable at the moment….lot of electronics come out of the Ukraine or at least parts for them did….
Not vital for the build but sort of thing that can slow things down badly..

Timber isn’t unavailable, there’s a levy on it from russia, but most building timber will be from Scandinavia.

On Thursday 26th September, we’re holding a webinar for farmers to go through the guidance, actions and detail for the expanded Sustainable Farming Incentive (SFI) offer. This was planned for end of May, but had to be delayed due to the general election. We apologise about that.

Farming and Countryside Programme Director, Janet Hughes will be joined by policy leads working on SFI, and colleagues from the Rural Payment Agency and Catchment Sensitive Farming.

This webinar will be...
