I should clarify, sometimes sh*t happens and everything is against you and for whatever reason you have a full slurry pit that needs spreading when in an ideal world you wouldnt be spreading. Whilst not brilliant sometimes it happens!I’m afraid your going to a have a shock when you start on your own 2 feet it’s not a dig at all , it just sometimes you can’t control all situations and everything isn’t straight forward.
But when its every single year the same farmers doing it repeatedly year after year rather than occasionally (1 in 5 years?) something has to change. It doesn't matter if you used to be able to do it that way with no problems, if its causing pollution you shouldnt be doing it! As above sometimes you have to, but you shouldnt have to all the time.
