Yep, i'm finding a bit the same , very dry arond here til about early July ......that's when trees/shrubs make their most growth,i guessI reckon there's less growth on our hedges this year. Mostly 5-6 foot on the elder but barely 3' this year. What about everybody else?

I use a flappy disc now, little and oftenJust got a hedge cutter for my own use around the farm its a mcconnell hyrech not sure of the model number . Its on cable controls but was originally on electric controls . Has a upgraded 1.2 m head . No roller . I'm planing on changing it to oil over oil joystick cause some the cables are sloppy . Any tips on getting started and making a decent finish on the hedge . Do ye guys Sharpen your Flails with grinder disc or flap disc ?
