Does anyone know what the wool board are paying this time?
I remember last year they were saying this years payments would be a lot higher. I know the fella off the 'sheep game' on fbook was pleased with what he got and encouraging folk to send to them.
Just had an email saying wed get £571 after vat for 1980kg of mostly welsh ewes wool for last years stuff.

They can’t put a price up for this year’s wool as they’re not buying it, they will be auctioning it for us over the next 12 months.

Does your local mart tell you in January what they’ll be paying you for the lambs sold over the next 12 months?

I know all that.....but last year they said next years payments would be a bit better so surely somebody should know if they are.
Was just wondering if they are in line with DB or better or worse .
Am guessing they are very similar, the main way i gain is by saving haulage with having a depot on my doorstep .

Let year’s wool got me 39p/kg from BWMB, paid last week. That’s pretty much the same as the rest were paying I think. My expectation is that this year will be double or better, based on the market reports - well ahead of the Irish, if you can handle the cash flow 😉
