Used ride on mower advice

My garden is less than 0.5ac of grass so don't want to drop a fortune on a new ride on

But i have found a good dealer that has a countax c600h which looks in decent shape

My question is though how important is the mileage on a ride on?
I can see the mower has been regularly serviced

is there a figure, similar to 100,000 in cars where you say this isn't going to last much longer?
Cheers

My garden is a bit smaller but not much . I bought a stiga front deck and it was an OK mower i replaced it with a 4wd husqvarna and it's a far better machine both used the stiga was a chunk cheaper but the husky certainly cuts better

Countax with a collector does a good job, however there are several tasks before you can mow.

1) Start the deck
2) Set the deck height
3) Start the collector
4) Set the collector height
5) Lower the collector

Once 2 is completed, then that's it, no need for any further action.

They are designed for UK conditions and wet(ish) grass.

If your not comfortable using machines, and Honda 2417 is much easier to use.

My advice with mowers is always the same. But an old commercial machine rather than a new domestic. The difference between the two isn’t comparable.
I’ve just sold my neighbour a ride on scag zero turn in place of a John Deere LX289 which in itself is an excellent machine.
The scag sailed through deep grass his Deere wouldn’t even look at. He was genuinely astounded

What sort of money would you be thinking of spending on the Countax?

To actually answer your question I’d say in something like a Countax 1200/1500 hours would be equivalent to 100k miles

Or look at it another way. Max 1 hours cutting per week. Times by 30 cuts a year. So 30 hours a year. Times by 10 years is only 300 hours.

Good advice e.Had a Countax and thought it was a good mower Replaced it with an industrial Iseki. Would never go back Like chalk and cheese.

Have two countax (300 and 400). Ultra reliable, well built and solid metal. Had the 300 over 25 years and very little spent other than basic servicing. With grass collector, mowing and area a doddle

any recommendations? would prefer to collect the grass which i guess a robot can't do
The idea of the robot is it cuts all the time so nothing to pick up. My cousin sells them ABA Groundcare covers Dorset Somerset and part of Devon. Pretty sure he said they got over 500 out and about now.
