Does anyone replenish their soil with any of these minerals: calcium, chromium, copper, iodine, iron, lithium, magnesium, manganese, molybdenum, phosphorus, potassium, selenium, vanadium, zinc or boron?
Yes. Many of those are macronutrients. I get quite a bit from organic manures.Does anyone replenish their soil with any of these minerals: calcium, chromium, copper, iodine, iron, lithium, magnesium, manganese, molybdenum, phosphorus, potassium, selenium, vanadium, zinc or boron?
I’ve found Copper Sulphate applied to the soil with a sprayer can rectify low indices for Copper. It can sort them for up to ten years. No, you do not apply these in bulk form to the soil. You will never win or manage to do this economically except for phosphorous and potassium. Dumping huge amounts of calcium onto the ground is also fraught with risk as it will alter soil pH so not an automatic cure either.
As others have said, where deficiency exists they are generally addressed through foliar feeds. Chromium etc is also a heavy metal so not the sort of thing you will be able to buy on a shop shelf either.
20t/ha sludge every two or three years sorts most of themDoes anyone replenish their soil with any of these minerals: calcium, chromium, copper, iodine, iron, lithium, magnesium, manganese, molybdenum, phosphorus, potassium, selenium, vanadium, zinc or boron?
Purchase some chicken muck from a supplier. No chickens to make muck anymore
Who applies Chromium or Lithium or Vanadium to crops? WHY?Does anyone replenish their soil with any of these minerals: calcium, chromium, copper, iodine, iron, lithium, magnesium, manganese, molybdenum, phosphorus, potassium, selenium, vanadium, zinc or boron?
