Which Trimble kit is it? How is Trimble worse than the Fieldbee?

One of the current Trimble models should be competitive considering accuracy and features but probably more than twice the price of your Fieldbee. An older Trimble might have a dual constellation receiver, outdated and worse performance than a cheap F9P receiver.

GFX 750 and Nav 900. Though that’s from memory.

Andy26 has certainly made it clear that these systems can be made cheaply. A bit of perseverance and time and it can be done.
However there are lots of people out there that wont have the time and will just want a kit to "bolt on" and it work out of the box.

From working with FJD/SVEA systems I can tell you that the most simple is our CHCNAV kit. (not tried Fieldbee but they have been trying to get us to deal in them).
CHCNAV just work...no having to connect to wifi or hotspots to register personal information to then get unlock codes sent via email.

Feel free to get in touch if anyone wants more information.

It's worth the minor inconveniences when you look at putting a system together for half the price of a plug and play system.
The main advantage I see is you can afford / justify kitting out two tractors rather than just one.
One day.....

What is the difference of yours and the alibaba one?
Other than setup and support?

I would still have a sketchy quality Trimble lightbar instead to two rtk accuracy tractors, sprayer section control and an rtk base station if it wasn’t for him
I still have that sketchy trimble and would like Andy26 system, but as ERH commented, if like me ,you are not as technically confident , it would be the easier option to have it working straight out of the box. As said before, I'm sure there is a living to be made by someone who knows these systems inside out travelling around installing kit.

In fairness I can’t see why the @Andy26 system coupled to the kei steering wheel couldn’t all be wired up and sent out, with just a wheel angle sensor to bolt on and quick set up wizard. That would be sub £2k

Hi,

Im asking the question now as thats much much cheaper than we can buy in in the first place as a dealer.

They have initially said its area locked in the Firmware so wont work in the UK but im asking for more clarity on this.

All I know is the ones we have work straight from the box.
We do take every screen and receiver out and test it first and 90% of them go with one of our simcards installed and all set up so it really is a case of plugging in and putting measurements in, a quick calibration (again much easier than FJD/SVEA) and away you go.

I have only just now had an FJD customer who bought a new kit from Alibaba get in touch with me to say after an update that the Chinese FJD tech team have done has messed up his IMU, and possibly the screen.... The FJD tech guy said he needs to get his dealer to send a new screen and IMU... :-/ Not sure how successful that will be

It’s even in knowing if it’s genuine on that website

The CHCNAV steering motor isn’t as big and heavy as the FJD one. It’s more refined and also has an engage/disengage button on it for the steering.
It’s still a motor though so does have some decent weight to it.

Any pictures of the 2 steering motors in question.
Used a trimble motor on a claas combine where you needed to undo the centre cap to adjust the steering wheel height and when the motor was fitted it wasn't possible to use the height adjustment then. This was quite an old trimble system so possibly the design has changed maybe to allow height adjustment still to work

A decade ago, the ez-pilot platform kits had options to enable that kind of height adjustment to still work, but you need the right platform kit for the column and they probably hadn't designed kits to suit absolutely every steering column out there.

Send me a whatsapp and I will get some pictures, but the anti rotation part of the system has to be taken into account, as cbarclay mentions.
