I little drop of socialism as opposed to disastrous capitalism would not go amiss. IMP this is better than nationalism that’s creeping up on us

Oh dear,do they really understand? What a load of tosh,The water companies have for a long time got away with it,It stands to reason if you keep building more houses,more tarmac/ concrete the water has to go somewhere in a flash flood or like the winter we have had, Farmers are/have been an easy scape goat as we do not have a strong voice to defend ourselves ! i do agree Farmers are guilty of some pollution,but not to the extent of the water companies

Totally agree because we didnt get paid to build houses.. and those that did are not us...

As has been said not one word about those who farm the countryside and made it what it is, they want to accelerate the change to electric vehicles when sales are stalling because people don't want them, do they really believe they can, as they say attract private sector money to solve the sewage problem, that private money will need a guaranteed return, remember the PFI deals they did last time for schools and hospitals, the costs were and still are a huge drain on public finances.
All written by a London MP, doubt he knows F all about the subject

Be carefull for what you wish for and remember what politicians promise and what they actually do are two completely different things.
That said our last Labour government here was a total fúck up, politically, ,economically, socially and environmentally.

The nanny state really do want to control our farms dont they? It stifles innovation.. so near to an election i get the impression that neither of the main parties are interested in Agriculture and neither seem to have a manifesto to support our sector.. State farm collectives run by contractors is certainly the trend..

Why do they always feel the need to stick their noses into private businesses they know nothing about? They are busy writing rules and manuals as we speak as to what constitutes direct drilling. It’s wholly unnecessary. It’s nonsense. And there’s no difference between any of them as it seems to be the civil service that runs the show.
If these folk think they can do a better job then why not buy a farm and have a go instead of backseat driving us off the road.
It’s partly our own industry’s fault for looking to civil service to bail us out and fix every problem. Let’s just get on and leave them to their armchair and desk bound theorising.
