sounds a lot like a cop out to me

Will Jackson knows very clearly what the majority of levy payers want
I become less impressed with Mr Jackson with every time his name appears, when he is dealing with RT and similiar issues that are even a tad contentious. Pretty damned useless would be my summation based on my personal interaction and what is reported....

Is is position actually tenable.....?

if correct levy payers need to make it clear how they want Will Jackson to vote on their behalf

get emailing him !
How much longer before giving them hell? 6th October last year. So that's 6months gone.

NSA - thank you

Absolutely the right thing to do. The idea that the GFC could well have gone through should have frightened the life out of every farmer it would have been horrendous, we would have lost so much.

Well done to Phil Stocker and his team for making sure accountability and integrity is at the front of any dealings. Time to consign Batters, Mosely and Tacon to the rotten bin.

From FW:
An AHDB spokesperson said: “AHDB chose to abstain from the vote. Our view is that such a vote of this nature needs clear consideration and discussion within AHDB in the context of recent public statements by the Assured Food Standards board that recognises the need for change as well as the wider context on the role of assurance of which a review is currently being conducted.”

So they will be discussing this within AHDB- let’s hope they take into consideration the views of their levy payers too. 🙏

they are acutely aware of what levy payers want

maybe start a poll on tff asking how we would expect them to vote just to be sure ? !!

Phil Stocker on farming today.

He said only a very small part of the market for lamb uses red tractor.

He went on to say "farm assurance is a good thing" but forgot to add "but only if it benefits the producer".
I think that’s perfectly true. I’ve no problem with (truly) voluntary schemes where the farmer can see a premium over the costs/hassle of being a member.
Problem with RT is that it has always promised/claimed a premium for its FA yet farmers have seen no benefit.

I should qualify this really...

"Pretty damned useless would be my summation", from the levy paying producer's perspective.

It's beginning to fall..............and long overdue !

RT has done sweet 'FA' to UK ag
The only thing it has done is deny access to markets for non assured levy payers.Dim Jim goes on about RT giving access to markets which is total bo##ocks. Before RT everybody had access to all markets.
