Slightly surprised there isn't a top link, or strap even, for road transport. Looks good idea, but the Schoffel and Oakley Cavalry, bouncing along at 50k, there's a lot of leverage on those brackets.

Well maybe they better slow down then! I think it's very dangerous these large tractors roaring around the lanes.

I have one of these toppers, and they are surprisingly robust, I have used it to chop gorse, which it isn't designed to do and it coped and did a really good job.

Its a very good idea as there is no top link to get on the way ,no chains or straps to break or get wedged up and simple to fit.
Never had any problems with it yet

Do you just drag it along the ground between fields?

While I admire your marketing creativity, I'm not sure there's much life left in this thread that's worth flogging

I rebuilt a little 20hp tractor to pull trees, then found it was sort of ok for other jobs and enquired for recommendations of what sized topper they would recommend for the tractor and got 4ft and thought my lawn mower was nearly that, I was chatting to a neighbour about how such a small topper was recommended for the little tractor, he said I have one that you can have, looking at this Suffolk 60 topper made by John Graham measuring across was 6ft, as it was free said would have it if the tractor would lift it, well it did and although its a bit light at the front but was ok and in work would be on the ground. The 60 needed some bit of repair as spent its life outside, sides been knocked in and universal joint worn out, it done just what wanted it for and was ideal. In 2ft high grass had to cut the width taken by about 2ft but as not running both tyres in the grass there was less grass ran down, it was so good tried it on the lawn and works just as well, quicker and as on diesel uses less fuel. Winter time it got a upgrade in improvements, the back was shortened so less overhung weight and with double returned edge so stronger, the damaged sides were cut so at the back were shorter and frame had a bit of bracing and this stopped it from bouncing as much on hard rough ground, the back caster wheel got a twin ball bering off a bit of scrapped machine so reckon it going to last, three years ago used it to cut and reclaim about 4 acres of very rough grass where the hedge had walked out into the field some bits at the bottom were about a inch thick and 5 ft plus high, as was very dry cut it three times and done a supper job. especially with so much unseen rubbish to hit a single rotor is far stronger and safer not to cause damage as on twin rotors can destroy them and John Graham was still dealing in those a few years ago when I needed new blades, he said had taken them back in after twenty years use and only needed pressure washing, coat of paint and new blades so would say better than most.

I have had Teagle Toppers for the last 20 years. Been absolutely fine for topping pastures after grazing. It is not designed for for scrub busting. Had a couple Kidd toppers before that with just lower link attatchment. They were perfectly good as well.

It is mounted on the bottom links with pins in the balls of the lift arms and cantilever plates under the lift arm links so being able to lift the topper no problem & also float along the ground following the contours.

The skids don’t make a mark as they are rounded from left to right & ski shaped ends.
Just glide along
