Are you a member of Facebook,Twitter or both.
Forgot to say I am not a member of either, but that may be me being suspicious of both as I am 70.

I never had the slightest interest in fb. Been on it 5 years and find it brilliant.
You can tailor it to how you want to you use it. I only use it for business. Got nearly 2000 "friends" but I only follow and see posts from a select few.
I do all my business through it. The various groups are brilliant. Will be one for just about every taste.
There's more coverage on the buy/sell groups than any other internet platform.

FB. Some great classic tractor pages. Local village FB page is hilarious. Joined FB & TFF to advertise stuff for sale. Both have proved to be fecking useless.
It could have been the items were fecking useless 🤷🏻‍♂️
Used FB for years but stopped around 3 years ago as adverts were coming up for stuff that me and the wife would be talking about verbally without our phones in use, ie a holiday to Togo and the next time we were on FB it would show “trip to Togo for £££”
Twitter I joined as a lot of vets/scientists and boffins with some really good information were on it but like others I’m not that clued up on how it actually works..
Instagram I mainly use now

I think fb for business use is fine...
But putting your personal info (date of birth, where you live, phone numbers, address etc) into facebook is a not a good idea (i made this all up on my old account).
If any of your "friends" accounts get hacked (which they will), they will take this info and use your identity and get loans, credit cards etc in your name.

Facebook probably sell all your data to everyone and anyone that'll pay for it.
Their apps (whatsapp FB insta) almost certainly scrape your phone of contacts, SMS, GPS locations, who you call, how many times etc etc.
Then sell that also.

I'm fed up with it all to be honest, just annoys me that they make billions from everyone's personal data, we have zero privacy left.
I deleted my FB account about 2 years ago and don't miss it at all.
Also working on de-googling my life at the minute (but that's another story)

Facebook is more powerful and not always in a good way, than most sovereign governments. It certainly knows more about the population, than all the police and security forces combined. It’s probably more dangerous to society and democracy, than Lehman’s was to the global financial system.
Hope this whistleblower who is now spilling beans in USA Congress, keeps up the pressure and hopefully something will be done to break it up. Sooner the better.

I’m one of 8 that moderate our local villages Facebook page… we have 8 so we try to make it fair. It can be hilarious sometimes and occasionally we have to step in to remind people to be nice and you may see then in the morning face to face at the village shop or on the school run! .
Facebook is good for keeping in touch with family and friends and the local area. Twitter is good for , well just following @ajd132 and Clive ! Oh and to get blocked by East Yorkshire farming royalty! Some people post their opinions for all the world to see yet can’t take criticism or accept not everyone has the same opinion!

Have both, not a fan of Facebook, but local pages have been handy letting me know there's cattle on the road or tracking down a missing sheep dog once or twice 😬
Twitter is great, made many friends all across the country, been on farm walks and had others here for a look around too , and went clay pigeon shooting with a group of 10 or 12 once.
Went on holiday to Edinburgh in August, and took advantage of being close to someone off twitter I'd known for years to go and say hello in the flesh, and have a look around his fantastic farm.
Like life there's idiots there, just pick and choose who you want to follow

Twitter for me is like sport. So many cannot take a joke

Id say that the likes of TFF is more guilty of being a bullying platform than Facebook.
Mainly because people's family, friends associates witnes what is posted, whereas on here people can anonymously post what they like.
100 %
And they hide behind daft name , some that is
If members of society whoever they are or think they are, think they are so say being bullied for goodness sake just ignore the social media members who are so say bullying one.Seems to me society have got unwittingly addicted to some social media platforms they just can’t live without it. It is especially easy to ignore someone on TFF , simply pressing the “ignore”button facility.
