Regular Maize is not very digestibly, that is why it is steamed passed through very hot rollers and baked to make corn flakes
The first cereal breakfast was made in a similar fashion from whole wheat in the UK and sold as Force, it did not sell too well then a Mr Kellog tried a similar process using maize with improved results and made a fortune.

Thousands of tonnes of maize used to come from the US for poultry feed, in fact layers meal would be 60% maize, then when we joined the common market, because France grew Maize they decided to put an import levy on any coming from the states, even though France could not produce anything like enough to cover our needs.

Yes you do. Where do you think your breakfast tea or coffee comes from or maybe you drink orange juice. If you want self sufficiency peoples diets have to change.

If the non-cornflakers don't like imported cornflakes they are going to go ape over my usual breakfast of smashed avocado and kimchi smoothie with a guava juice chaser.
