Yup, why rent out land for £40 acre for someone to plant butterflies, when you can take all the money and plant butterflies yourself Plus you can top the land twice per year on your classic tractor.So payments to farmers are being reduced, and instead they are paying people to do "environmental goods" on land.
I might be wrong but isn't that just going to risk cutting out the middle man......
Tenants could be a thing of the past..............
