Was meaning just the boom ...whole machine is very good really.few hoses, kingpin bushes and steering joints /bearings underneath.no motors yet.odd wiring problem,oh ,and a near fire due to steering column loom chafing.

Yes both 36m.our pumps are 400 immovilli I think.yep do liquid fert with teejet nozzles and not too slow .that really depends on your jet/nozzle hole size.need a larger hole for larger rates ideally which is obviously another cost.done saltex onto beet at 600l/ha and still 11k was possible with the larger jets.had a 230 pump before on a different sprayer and at 24m that was slower than these.probably soon wants bushes at 6000 hours unless it's been really well greased but parts are very reasonable from batemanand it's not that big a job really.they really provide excellent backup.

Thanks for that, what tee jet ones do you run? Its probably the right price to enable me to out a bigger pump on. We are using omex liquid and rates will generally be 200 to 250 L/ha which should be just ok at 12kph.
Do you run norac? Going down from a chafer 6000L 36m trailed as we are doing less area now and we used to do home mixed fert. We've also been doing a lot of the cereals at 200L but are going to go back to 100 I think.

Unsure what they're called...plastic jet with holes in the bottom about 30/40mm long.one of ours has. norac but not working and haven't bothered repairing it as it's fairly even level ground here..seriously though our booms have no cracking anywhere.one has a few welds due to an accident repair but nothing at all due to cracking .always amazes me.only spraying cereals and beet though,no potatoes.

25 years of Bateman ownership so ask away.
Sorry, but in my opinion, your going to find your pump too small for liquid fert at 36m , possible but going to feel slow .
Norac , has had many updates over the years. Some can be added still but you have to do them in order ie you have to maybe do 3 updates in correct order rather than just the latest version. Best people to ask is Bateman ( speak or ask for Mark) . You need to check what version your running on screen. Not sure how old they can go back too, but Bateman now offer BBL ( Bateman Boom Levelling)which is like Norac plus . My previous machines ran UC5 Norac ( good ) , Norac now offer UC7 but new machine is UC5 plus BBLwhich is equivalent to UC8 if you like ( very good)
Same goes for the screen . You have not said which make ( Agleader/ Topcon etc) but on Agleader ( which is what I have had) , again I have updated the screen software over the years. You need to check which version again on screen and talk to Mark at Bateman.
I use Accurate bars not nozzles but need second line really to make it quick to swap back and forth

Run bowsers with them normally as there are no no static tanks at any land ,and all relatively small blocks of land so tank size of machine is not so critical to us.

Its an agleader which runs everything. I didn't realise they were quite so simple in the cab. I would prefer some sort of 2nd line but could cope with just spinning to a different nozzle. I've worked out that one nozzle size will do everything. (10s) but a bigger pump is probably going to necessary. If I could go to 400+ it would mean I could get away without a pump for filling from a bowser.

Ah I see...ours are both 400 pumps but 36m from new...yep pump will want upgrading.be too slow as my previous experience in the post above.230 at 24 wasn't very good!they are a very good sprayer though.perhaps don't like the lack of brake pedal if I'm honest....but used to driving a mechanical transmission so it feels a bit unnerving still now .

Maybe not quite as simple changing pumps ??
I may be wrong but I think on a new build , if you spec a 400 ltr pump, you get bigger diameter spray lines??
I might be wrong, but if you upgrade pump but keep your pipe work , you will get more capacity but maybe not the full amount.
You could fit a separate 2 inch or 3 inch Hypo pump to your machine for fast filling . Give you an idea, 2 inch = 650/700 ltrs/ min and 3 inch = 900/ 1000 ltr / min

250 so would struggle with 12kph at 250L
Colin, you would really need to upgrade the pump to our 400l/min, we would also up-rate the suction side pipework, and fit a slightly bigger flow meter - Craig would easily sort that out. It was extended from 24mVg to 36mVG so the 2nd & 3rd sections are only a couple of years old, and without checking, i would expect the break backs would have been changed at the same time as they are only £450 for a set.
Give me a call if required.
