Bought this when it was on a deal this summer, been very pleased with it,
Cost about £200 inc vat
Have used it to start scraper tractor a few times, when the alternator belt was on its way out, and the self propelled sprayer ( a twin battery system) when I’d left it stood a month with the GPS system on stand by 🙈

Spend your money as you will, but I have just got one of these. Slave batteries and jump leads are just hassle.
Bloody brilliant bit of kit, tractor sluggish this morning; clamp this on and away she goes, first turn.
Forgotten about the money already.

and they dont cost 200+
Have got really good heavy leads but too often just cannot get them to ‘bite’ or connect; basically they don’t seem able to transfer the power from the slave to the dead battery, so you spend ages getting on and off the dead tractor playing with the jaws of the leads at both ends, often, like yesterday, to no avail! If anyone can shed light on this problem please do; the leads get warm but too often the power just doesn’t get to the dead battery.

Try them on your nipples first?

first thing i did with mine when new was solder the cables to the clamps to eliminate that pressed join as a problem
evey now and again i open the clamps and rub with a file to keep the faces free of rust
dont normally have any problems

Most things here are fitted with Anderson sockets wired straight to the battery and the workshop jump leads have a set of Anderson sockets breaking them at each end. As @Spud said nothing to beat a good battery but errors do happen sometimes leaving ignitions and things on and battery's are well buried in some modern kit.

Clamp them on with mole grips
Or just buy a big enough battery
I point blank refuse to use jump leads etc unless in an emergency
