Best "jump start" I ever saw for a Tractor was on the first farm I went to as an apprentice. "My" tractor was a 4000 with a FeL on it and in the winter, it was a pig to start. "Jump start", was parking it at the top of the hill above the farm itself, last thing, then in the morning at 6.45, climb in and roll down the bank for 40yds gathering speed, and drop the clutch, if it failed, it was straight across the road (closed eyes here!!), and on down towards the chicken shed and praying it kicked in before the corner at the bottom.

I got quite competent for a 16 year old kid with zero Ag experience :ROFLMAO:

We don't need batteries here, living on a hill.

If it hasn't started by the time you get to the cattle grid it's advisable to stop and walk back for help.

If you ride it all the way to the bottom and it hasn't started it's probably f**ked and you've an arduous walk back up

Spend your money as you will, but I have just got one of these. Slave batteries and jump leads are just hassle.
Bloody brilliant bit of kit, tractor sluggish this morning; clamp this on and away she goes, first turn.
Forgotten about the money already.
Seems like the one i just ordered is duff, sais it,s charging with orange light showing, but the green full light never comes on. You would think they would be checked before there sent out, very disappointing and frustrating. Now i got the hassle of sending it back.

Unfortunately I don't think that many firms actually check stuff before it goes out of the door - especially when it's imported stuff.

it also gets expensive real quick if you leave the booster on 24volts either by mistake or on purpose for that extra KICK:X3: 12volt ecu's dont like 24volts up um:facepalm:
My tip of the day is to not use a Manitou to start a genset that is 24 volt.

The replacement Manitou ECU took a few months to arrive🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️

although I know manitou UK ordered 2 so they now have a spare on the shelf👍

Noco G26000 for battery repair. Did one last night on a 100% dead battery on a kubota genset. Automaticly shuts off when battery restored.

Also Noco are brilliant on their warranty. Bought the first one on ebay from a bricks and mortar proper shop. It died. They replaced it no questions asked. Didnt even want dead one back.

Jump packs work well too. Also have usb points on them to charge phones and stuff if need be.

there are a type of French made jumper leads that unfortunately I don't have a name for. The clips are made of bronze (I think) and make excellent contact. I've seen these clips on eBay for around £8 each so a total of four is needed plus the cables. The inside of the jaws have ridges that run across the width, unlike the usual serrated type.
I'm thinking GYS? I wouldn't buy one of their welders but the jump leads are spot on! I chose the heaviest set as I'm a heavy vehicle mechanic and the only time they don't work is if the starter is bad.

You'll need to be sitting down when you see the price!

Presumably you have by now spoken to manufacturer.
They tell me that the "charged" light will not display during mains charging; only when the green light displays on the charger itself, is the pack fully charged and ready.
The "charged" light on the pack will only display to confirm fully charged status of pack when it is being topped up from a running vehicle, via the double ended charging lead supplied for this purpose.
