Sorry friesen on a heifer, kojak was just the photos, I would never use a blue on a heifer and not even on a 2nd calverIs using a blue on heifers not a bit risky anyway?
Well you are either using the wrong blue bulls or you should get some cows that are capable of calving more than a rat, which is it ?Sorry friesen on a heifer, kojak was just the photos, I would never use a blue on a heifer and not even on a 2nd calver
Interesting attitudeWell you are either using the wrong blue bulls or you should get some cows that are capable of calving more than a rat, which is it ?
Thought, why not stir the pot a little and see what givesInteresting attitude
Who supplied that semen?been using moorsley logic on jersey cows and heifers , calves just dropped out, plus nice white and blue colour , one heifer calf made £275 at 4 weeks!
All our logic calves came out lovely not very big but take decent shape by the time there 3 weeks oldGlad they wouldn't let me have any kojak now! Didn't think the figures for logic were that great, but may have to try some now.
Used easy in the past and was told by the rep his son kojak would be fine, the problem with beef bulls there only around for couple of years before you can’t get them and it’s not like the uk farmers stick together like the NZ ones, if LIC had a duff bull NZ farmers would let the semen company know about it and the bull would be gone, I’m looking at Irish DBI but only familiar with the HerefordsWell you are either using the wrong blue bulls or you should get some cows that are capable of calving more than a rat, which is it ?

Moorsley Anderson was around for years ,we had no probs using on second calvers at all. Great alround bullAll our logic calves came out lovely not very big but take decent shape by the time there 3 weeks old
I would sooner sniff Susanne Boyles spanks than AI and blue onto a Jersey Xthinking of putting a few British blues this year on our jersey crosses. Some of the herefords are coming out a bit small and don't really bulk up too much.Wondered what to avoid, and should I just put it on the more friesen ones?
Why? Whats the issue?I would sooner sniff Susanne Boyles spanks than AI and blue onto a Jersey X
The issue is the BB is a double muscle breed solely breed for Beef, to me way to risky on such a small frame animal as they can throw out big calves and seen it more times I can remember...square peg, round hole scenarioWhy? Whats the issue?
