I needed something to sow some AB9 wild flower mix. My Vaderstad is a box drill so is not great for just 20 kg of seed, and the slug pelleter wouldn’t be very accurate, so I dug this out of the back of the barn. It’s sat there untouched for 24 years.
I swept some of the dust off and greased it, kept my fingers crossed and it worked perfectly.

The lazy twunt down the road hasn’t worked for all my life, but I saw him picking up a discarded crisp packet the other day. For a split second I thought “good on you” , but then remembered he wouldn’t help anybody if they were on fire.

If there was an Olympics for laziness, he would aim to come fourth just so he didn’t have to climb the medal winners podium.

It's quite a funny story but I think I'm missing some context here...

I'm really curious to why he picked it up then?

Sorry.

firing up some old tired piece of tack and putting it to work is, I find, a real thrill.. (that's most days at our place) what I mean is often those old things that owe us nothing do us the best service ?

Used the same drill myself in the 1990's also. Did a fine job too. However we moved ours on rather than stick in the back of shed.

Just for curiosity’s sake, what tractor was it on 24 years ago?

Actually after a few years of being asked if I had a Tedder. (I haven’t) I remembered my father had one tucked away in front of an also tucked away pickup baler.

Kuhn trailed in Bamford yellow.

Replaced a tire tube, blew up two more tyres, replaced two tines and 4 bolts. Greased and off it went. Scatttered about 150 acres faultlessly.

Was away since 1994 so 25 years.

Sorry no photos, might get one from storage though.
