Budget pickup £7k an under

I know this has been done to death but son would like to change his Freelander for a pickup with a limited budget. Ideally a dual cab with canopy. Which if any are to be avoided and would an older say 10/12 year auto with 150k miles be a possibility.

Great wall ? Seriously cheap second hand, towing capacity lower. Drive ok, and quite economical, parts take a few days from ordering.

L200 we’ve 4 in the family now and all get abused The one that’s had the most bother is a series 5 with electric key the older series 4s just keep going and if they do break anyone can fix them

Yes but of a mechanic friend Had new suspension Clutch and brakes including pistons ect. The way I look at it is if it one day needs a engine it’s still cheap motoring but runs sweet as a nut and isn’t using any oil or water so I’ve no worries

Bought a terrano before that that was a massive mistake
