Get that 570 on sale bought and be done with it. Client of mine used to have one, went like fury and he regretted ever selling his.
Don’t think anyone has said they are bad because it’s a fact they are a great combine but I was just pointing out that at the age and budget of the op a Walker combine would be less warn out because the basic same parts ie elevators drum sieves won’t be as worn as they will have handled less crop and not been forced through so fast

I'm not arguing that a walker combine would be no good. Just that I believe the 570 mentioned earlier would be the kiddie to get.

Single rotor puts me off them. Or they would be a ideal 570 replacement.
Not as good as twin rotor on straw either
Disagree, having run a single rotor for four years now, mine covered 390ha last year with ease, straw quality is done to the driver, the same as all rotaries. The only downside is the straw chopper as mine doesnt have the power spreader or whatever its called now, bog standard straw chopper which just and only just spreads to 7.5m but more comes out of one side than the other being a single rotor machine. Very under rated combine.

Got a 570C here. Great machines. Had for 11 years and only lost one day combining through breakdowns although spent a bit each year on it each year through the winter service. Not looking to swap it in any time soon. Nothing I would rather have in its place at moment.

Just would feel like a step backwards going back to single rotor.
