Does anyone know if these are painted or powdercoated?
I think @casper74 has one?
They are serious money though with any extras. It’s the 40% on their estimates is what’s killing this grant job for me.

Not saying they are not but depends what position you are in. My point really was that I could do a fair bit to install a permanent setup here for 9k which is effectively what it will cost with the grant.

We have made do on rented block that was taken on a 5 yr FBT.....22 years ago,
We have portable gates to load and bits to handle cattle but can be difficult to move various bunches to the race especially now with young stock in 3 different blocks.

Hence why looking at mobile

Go for it then. We don’t have cattle on outlying land currently. The good thing about the mobile is you can have it bought and paid for quickly. Permanent more relying on contractors.

Powdercoated,
I got mine earlier this year still really pleased with, very strong, well made, and very quiet, even the wildest of cattle seem to know they are beaten for a minute or 2 while you do whatever needs doing to them.

Thanks for that info.

Which model did you get and how did it compare cost wise v richie and bateman?

I have put in for R2- SG17 Cameras for livestock monitoring. anyone got any recommendations for suppliers?

R2-SG71255Cameras for monitoring livestockInternet Protocol (IP) camera for monitoring livestock. Outdoor rated IP66 with Pan Tilt and Zoom (PTZ), day and night vision. Infrared range of 50m minimum, 18x zoom minimum. 1080 pixels minimum. Must be compatible with online viewing app for smart phone or tablet.

Agri Camera if you want a hassle free system with good back up.

However you won’t get buy them from Agri Camera for anywhere near the published standard cost.

In reality livestock surveillance cameras pay for themselves without a grant in most situations.

I got the hydraulic squeeze (107 I think was the model) I priced up Bateman hydraulic crush which was more expensive and a lot more "rattley"
I also priced Clipex which was powered by air that was similar price to the Arrowquip I didn't like the idea of using air in the end, so went with Arrowquip and the dealer is fairly local to me as well.

Major error on my part, just realised the closing was midday today and not midnight. Will there be any grace on an extension?

Not till after closing date which is 4th November but it will take them a while to decide!

Does anyone remember how long the RPA took to award the grants in the previous rounds? From what I hear it's going to be impossible to meet the 31st March deadline for some items.
