We didn’t put in for the grant as the thing we wanted the supplier said it couldn’t be done by the original date. would be May so now feeing a bit p!ssed to be honest
Much as I agree the date is now more realistic for those who applied it should have been agreed BEFORE the application deadline.

Your not the only one who didn't apply due to product availability!

I know where you are coming from. They should be more realistic from the start. Someone told me the manufacturers had raised concerns in the past about deadlines being to tight but were not listened to.

They couldnt keep up with demand well before corona virus!
things have had a fair price hike in there new catalog!! And how much thinnner steel can they use for ring feeders and lambing hurdles?
Had a three section HD ring feeder. Built really well.
Don't make then anymore , probably because they last so well!!

i wouldnt worry about it, there will be more secondhand stuff around in the future .

but if it encoursges the buying of that example of energiser /solar fence unit as in previous post then youre better off getting something more up with it and worthwhile/value for money than that pathetic sort of toy.

I wanted a race panel reader and a combi clamp and knew there was no way I’d have that kind of cash around until April / may so didn’t bother🤬 typical of my luck

Was that grant funded? Don't think it would have been eligible, is not an integrated battery. The first one we looked at I ran past RPA and they said not eligible. We wanted 4; we have several badger latrines that annoyingly need a fence popping round them to keep the cows out.

the hotline one you linked above is of such a poor power, i suspect even looking at the stock " in a funny way" would have more effect...
if thats grant advised i dont think much of it.

They don't 'advise' other than to say something is not eligible.
We don't have long fence lines. Those fencers have kept dairy cows and heifers where they are meant to be for 5 months this summer which is all we require of them. Sorry if that's not good enough for you.

Does anyone know which email or phone number you ring in order to check whether the spec of what you want to buy matches the correct grant spec?

I assume it's best to get written conformation so there are no issues when you go to claim?

Thanks in advance.
