Found it ,,It's Freemantle in Western Australia

i don’t actually know ?

but yes, I have heard of people agitating for that & it may be true in some local council areas . . .

feral cats are a HUGE problem here, but domestic pets also cause a lot of carnage with native birds, marsupials & reptiles
The Adelaide Hills Council stipulated that domestic cats were to be kept indoors at night, but we saw plenty on the prowl round town after dark. Plenty of land owners wouldn’t think twice about shooting cats, or dogs for that matter, that were roaming where they shouldn’t be though.

If you southerners don't want sheep worrying to be taken seriously by the police, just ignore it and suck up the losses.

You could of course do what's been done up here in Scotland. Report every incident and make the police do the job they are paid to do and get the law changed.

The Dogs (Protection of Livestock) (Amendment) (Scotland) Act 2021 was passed in May 2021.

The penalties for sheep worrying have been increased to....

“(a)to imprisonment for a term not exceeding 12 months;

(b)to a fine not exceeding £40,000; or

(c)both.”.

Maximum term for murder is life, but how often is it applied though.

Trouble is everyone has to own 3-4 dogs theses days.
That's a lot of sh!te.:(
I do like dogs, but I just don't get "that"

wonder what they're compensating for - it is actually still OK to go for a walk to go for a walk - surely it doesn't need Fitbits and calorie-computations and a team of huskies to ruin the experience of just going outside, for a walk?

Since Covid many folks have bought a puppy and now have an idiot dog they have little control of

If I did something like that to my own sheep, the RSPCA would soon prosecute me for animal cruelty and I would be banned from keeping livestock, so why, when a dog walker leaves an animal suffering in that way, which was attacked by their dog aren't the RSPCA prosecuting them for animal cruelty? The dog owner could telephone the RSPCA/Police so someone could come and euthanise the lamb and then they should deal with the owner of the sheep, I am afraid, playing the crying card does not cut the mustard. Disgusting that any person should leave an animal suffering in that way.
Rspca are do-gooders same as RSPB with the idiot.Packam as vice president.

read the other day, feral cats in Aus are a big problem, and are 'controlled'
think cats in the UK ought to be made to have collars with bells on, that would reduce their killing of songbirds

Posh london expatriate moved to the country, for a better life. Riding around on a horse, with 3 dogs running riot. Regularly crapped on our lawn, caught her one day, her answer, 'it wasn't her job to tell her dogs, where they can go, or not, as for crapping on my lawn, l could clear that up, she, didn't do things like that.
Much of my response is unprintable, except the bit, 'if l find dog crap, on my lawn, l will post it through your letter box', she stopped riding this way, and since moved.
