EPSO-TOP bitter salts

First year here using epso top as opposed to liquid mag nitrate and I really like it. 5 kg/ha every application which gives me far more mag and sulphur than liquid did for a fraction of the cost.

I've got an amazone UG trailed sprayer and i have good agitation and the induction bowl jets running fairly hard and I just poor it in as quickly as I can cut the bags open. I've never had any problems with blocked filters or un dissolved product in the bottom (touch wood)

I use Espo-Top and Combi-Top

I never used to have problems with previous sprayers but it’s a right PITA with an Amazone UF1801
Very easy to block up the main filter.
Anyone using an Amazone UF with Espo-top who can give me any tips?

Just whatever you do don’t tip it in the top I did this and completely bunged the whole lot [emoji85] I just tip it in induction bowl and have a mixing stick to stir in whilst jets are going

Using both Epsotop and Combitop here with years.

Find they dissolve fine in the induction hopper. There are pointers in terms of rates and dilution levels on the Kali website.

Warmer water certainly helps so water from a deep cold borehole might cause issues.
It actually causes an endothermic reaction as it dissolves (makes the water colder).
I use Microtop on OSR as it also contains Boron.

I think they have a new one coming out called Bortop which has even more Boron in it.

we Use 27n 11s fertiliser. If we used EPSO at t0 and t2 would that be enough to use 34.5 n. What is peoples thoughts on sulphur in Fertiliser, is it needed every application.

Sulphur demand in the plant is at the same time as nitrogen demand and it is highly susceptible to leaching out. The reason most apply it early in the season is to make sure the plant is not short early on when a deficiency can have more drastic effects.

How would you get enough S through a sprayer? You need 50-90 kg/ha SO3 for a crop. If you are short on soil Magnesium, why not apply a tickle of kieserite solid fertiliser each year?
