OK, it would appear that someone of influence in the new Grenadier vehicle has been made aware of us and is paying attention is that not so @CPF . If so this is a first class opportunity for us to get our ideas straight to the right people. So put your ideas on here of practical / beneficial things you would like to see put on a farm use jeep type vehicle. @Clive @JP1 any moderators, would it be possible to put this thread where the most people will see it?
I'll start.
Demister fan that can cope with a wet dog.
13 pin plug on the right hand side of hitch on right hand drive vehicles (saves continually stepping over trailer drawbar).
A rear door setup that doesn't constantly bang off the trailer jockey wheel.
A decent curve on wingmirrors for reversing trailers.
Radio can be turned on without ignition.
Decent practical storage
LSD or lockable diff's.
That's what came into my head this morning (wet morning towing trailer)

Vinyl seats
Wash out flooring
Cruise control
Decent mirrors
Good mpg empty
Proper all way steering wheel adjustment
Proper seat adjustment ; height and leg room

Please please please bring back the occasional third centre dickey seat

Tailgate or split door short tailboard options with cover flap so you're not paranoid about breaking your dog's leg

Fixed full height bulkhead option for rear

Maybe we should just rename this thread the Grenadier Farm R&D thread! - the way TFF googles I'm sure they will find it eventually!

It's not too late. I'll buy one and take it back to the dealer telling him there's some bits missing......

A/c we need too

No - keep it simple. A/C is extra cost and can be done without - just open the window. So long as the heater is good enough to revive a hypothermic lamb in the passenger footwell, and keep the windows from misting up in the winter, that's enough.

A tiny bit of padding on the drivers door armrest, my elbow twinges something terrible on the hard lumpy plastic of ranger and Hilux. ?

12v fag lighter outlet in a place where you can plug in roof beacon / spotlamp without needing to jam the lead in the door then tie it round the gearstick.

The 1/3 of the rear bench seat behind driver folds up or can be removed so you could fit a toolbox behind driver where it’s easiest to access.

not a touch screen radio that gets confused by 1/2” of dust covering and then turns off in the huff for a few days till you clean it.

Apple Carplay is top of my list - hate driving anything without it, don't waste money on built-in nav and media, etc when we all have really good ones in our pocket - wirelessly connected ideal with dash and center console surfaces induction charging for devices - all cheap to do

refrigerated cubby box is also nice and only a bit of ducting from anything with aircon

Air locking diffs would be good and make it best in class off-road, the compressor could be used for air suspension giving variable ride height to suit use and also for tyre inflation in the field and running air tools fencing etc maybe ?

And please don't give it a steering wheel from a bus ! the single best mod to my Bowler defender is the steering wheel
