Sorry. The Sprinter has very different tank placement. My bad.

How much is your seed cart worth Clive?

no idea ! I might have to auction it on eBay as since mentioning it on twitter the other day I’ve had a few interested

it would make a great base for a drill, either towing a toolbar or mounted to it , seed and liquid fert tanks and control on big tyres etc with blockage monitoring and electric seed rate control etc. Or others interested have talked about making it into a drill filling unit which I could see working well also. A few others simply wanted to convert their existing none fert co into one that could do liquid and run on the bigger lgp tyres

will take some pics and do a proper advert, it’s all in very good condition, the front hopper is the better solution for us though when we use the co in preference to the avatar

Its the 600 litre version I bought it second hand it only just fits, a chafer square tank style would be better I think. Shoot me a pm if you want detailed pics more info on what I did.

800 litres would contain over a tonne of fertiliser at a SG of 1.3 which would do approx. 9 ha assuming 30 kg N/ha required and 35% w/v N. That ought to be enough for a hopper load of seed at 200 kg/ha seed rate.

@JRA will have tanks that would suit this application.

Has anyone mounted a fertiliser tank ( solid or liquid ) on a 6 or 8 metre Horsch Sprinter?

BB
Do you have linkage on the drill tractor?, Coveys used to have a 1200L on the drawbar of the 8m Sprinter but moved it to the tractor linkage as the drill was slow to lift. Worth jumping in the car to look at it. It has the adapter plates for moving the pipes further up the legs to drill OSR too, good set up

What type of starter fert are you planning using? Main ones used up here are npk. I'm using 15.21.21 this year. Do you get grades like this in liquid form?

I'd go for a front tank like clive has and blow it back.

I'm planning to put fertilizer on with my sprinter as well.
I'm planning to use my existing front tank with hyd pump to push it back to a manifold on the drill distributing it to the Coulters.
Using the oil flow to the pump to regulate the application rate.
Reality might not be that simple to do.

easy pacer pump on front tank
no rate controller go at set speed
put some big bubble jets in line after manifold
do some pressure and flow cala
do this on subsoiler for rape and cover crops
yes be simpler with only 7 outlets
can you not make a simple boom on front and dribble it on
