SS GB by Len Deighton. They execute Churchill as a war criminal is one.
An author Stuart Slade did a similar one, except in his book the Royal Family were ill-advised to call for Halifax to kiss hand to become PM. Churchill is arrested by the new regime, but is quickly freed by "loyal" elements. The King then makes a broadcast to the Empire effectively granting freedom of action to dominions/colonies outwith London to continue fighting etc. Churchill escapes to Canada with the Princesses. First book ends with Britain unoccupied but with the Germans making "requests" to base planes at airfields with a small "security" detachment.

I read some time back so I don't remember the source that not only did Churchill not trust the Nazis , he also didn't trust the Russians either . It was said of a joint allies meeting ,that Churchill said don't be in a hurry to scrap your armaments , because in the future you may well require them against the Russians .

This is correct. Churchill had the greatest suspicion of Stalin but knew the Allies had to stick together to defeat Nazi Germany. Roosevelt, on the other hand, is quoted as saying 'Stalin is a man I can do business with' . Harry Truman, the one time farmer from Missouri, could see through Stalin completely.

One of his first moves on becoming President in April 1945, was to call in the Soviet Ambassador to the US and give him a severe dressing down as to how the Soviets were blatantly ignoring the agreement of Yalta about the post war treatment of the countries of Eastern Europe
