My home airfield is Fishburn
Certainly busy up there yesterday
These were all visiting pilots

It’s good to see it busy, especially after the last few years.

Is that a Europa at the far left? I plan to build my own aircraft at some point (when time and money allows!) and it’s on my considerations list after watching ‘A Plane Is Born’ a number of years ago. Also like the look of the Vans RV7, being as it’s aerobatic.

That said, for cheaper operating costs, I wouldn’t rule out a microlight if I could find the right one. Think I need to get researching…

I`m 105kg and 6`4"
Learnt in a Skyranger, but after about an hour legs started complaining about the lack of legroom
Now have my own C42 which has a lot more space. and 120kg seat capacity.
To be fair most microlights run overweight, we all just hope we`ve burnt enough fuel off before we crash to be legal again
Where are you based?
How many helium balloons do you carry to get to 105kg?

Great vid, looks a decent machine. Is it me or is the oil pressure high?
Oil pressure is playing up.
It`s a bad connection or broken signal wire, can replicate it on the ground by poking finger about behind gauge.
Thought I`d got it sorted, but obviously not
That was my test flight after messing about with it

Ah right. I had a C150 Aerobat share-o-plane several years ago that developed an interesting wiring fault - it showed I had low voltage and high voltage at the same time! Took 3 or 4 trips to the maintenance airfield to finally get it rectified.

I suspect all of you in here will appreciate this but if thought-provoking humour:

Not sure they needed a study… jumping out of an aircraft at altitude without a parachute tends to be life-limiting. That said, I’ll take my chances, as there is no way I’m trusting my life to a giant hanky strapped to my back!

I know I don`t have a ballistic recovery system on my aircraft, and generally think they are a waste of money.
However it does cross my mind sometimes, what would happen if I had a heart attack while flying with a non pilot passenger.
At least if i had one fitted they could be briefed before takeoff to just shut engine and pull the lever.
There was a case recently when the pilot thought his passenger was just having him on when he went quiet.
Turned out he had suddenly died.

This might be of interest to the Aeronautically minded.
Quite a bit of it is covering Rescues mounted from Boulmer.
Some easily recollected.
One of those books that is difficult to put down…and proceeds go to a good cause.

I have 2 gopro`s
A Hero 7 silver & a Hero 6 Black.
The 6 you can swap batteries on, but they don`t last as long as the 7. lucky to get an hour out of a battery
Although bought second hand, should probably buy new batteries.
Tablet is a 7" samsung galaxy A7 lite
I`m toying with the idea of getting a 360 camera, but not sure yet

I got flying on Saturday out of Oxford. Weather was a bit rotten (cloud base around 1300ft), hence climbing up so I could actually see where I was going!
