Then you have consultants fees to write up an ecology report. And more things to do. Requires minimum 5% land area in biodiversity schemes. So take a closer look at LEAF before you commit. before i am shot, i am not anti LEAF just aware of the costs. It may not be for you. Nobody is forcing you.We are being forced to do it as fresh produce suppliers to Tesco, it's not worth it.
It may not surprise you but there isnt a premium they want you to grow it for the same as non-leaf stuff..... And then the annual audit £255.
