lime costs

I've just been quoted £31/ton spread.Local quarry no longer produces Lime.This lime is slightly orange in colour and come from,i think,the Cotswold area.Meant to be quite soluble too.

2 things both not of any issue of me just interested
1. a mate is borrowing my old Atkinson lime spreader off me I am unsure of how much it holds has anybody a ruff idea iam thinking around 2.5 ton just so i can give him a idea

2. he's getting the waste stuff from the cement works from what i understand. is it any good? he's been told its nv is 35% if i remember proper ground lime is around the 50% mark

Thanks. The lime in the pic above is fenstone calcium lime from a couple of years ago and when I worked it backwards from number of Loads spread to weight delivered I got it to about 2.5t per load so 1400/m sounds a good comparison.
Ive been told £5/ton delivered.

Best of luck with that if its the same as I had - and it sounds like it. Loads still sitting on the surface after 3 (?) weeks and several mm of rain. Lots of hard pieces around 5mm square or larger that I cant break between my fingers. V disappointed.
