Can you fit a header tank and let the pump feed from that so you have good flow for long enough to fill a bath or have a shower?

I think the pressure vessels are the same idea

Complete rot,price is fixed every time you renew contract ,unlike oil suppliers who will regularly raise prices at a drop of a hat ,i filled up a tank in september with gas at 36.7 p a litre ,oil was over a quid

Calorific values aren't the same:
LPG 7.11 kWh/L
Kero 10.35 kWh/L

And September Kero was nearer 87p.

Bought a lot of DERV and kerosene first thing today, got enough red.

DERV - £1.44
Kerosene - 87.5p

Thinking we will have to ride out a poor market with gas prices, OPEC cuts, a new Prime Minister and falling currency - but I could be wrong. Buying last Friday would have seen the most recent low - but heyho......

We were previously LPG, but moved to Kero, no regrets. I've got the flexibility to change suppliers at every fill, and I'll never run out as I keep a 800L in a steel bunded bowser for emergencies.

58.02p 1500 litres kerosene farmdeals.

And when you compare LPG at 77p -v- Kero at 58p and work out the difference in calorific content:

Kero = 5.6 p/kW
LPG = 10.82 p/kW

I don't think anyone will be rushing to buy an LPG boiler in the near future.

I wouldn't opt for an LPG tank if it was me, you're stuck with a limited number of suppliers. We pay a local firm and don't shop around at all but cripes if we ring up and need some tomorrow they will always drop something off.

I think they are 350s.
You’d get away with one, but if you were all going out and have baths/showers at same time then you’d soon use that.
The cylinders aren’t that expensive

System boiler (I suppose it is a combi, it just doesn’t have the water tank in it like a combi) Just a small Worcester Bosch.
When the plumber put it in none of us believed it would be big enough to run the house
“Where’s the proper boiler, that one wouldn’t run a Wendy house!” Etc etc

but it works brilliantly

paid £1250 for 2000 litre tank fitted and commissioned so can buy the gas from who ever we want but both times the guy who supplied tank has been cheapest , last november 37 pence per litre

Use wood or oil here and happy. I would go with oil over lpg for reasons mentioned above.

You need to compare that with the calorific output of oil to get the whole story.

cant abide oil boilers ,cant get no one to service?fix ,they stink ,they are a large item ,and they are double the price ,cant fit an oil boiler if you want a half decent epc

yep agreed,but it will be 49p mid winter nexr year and oil willbe a quid a litre again
