If you have a 1990mod and buy a 10year newer it will be the same to drive, but if you go from around year 2000 and up 6-10 years it will be a real shock....i was not prepared for the devolopment....but i was lucky, we got the coldest period here for 10years...so no snow, i had time to learn to use it, now i hope the snow will come, i thrive in this tractor, just the fact that i have only 55 honest desibels in the cabin under normal driving is fantastic, i can hear the radio like in my car:)

Not comlicated to use, but one need some time to learn all the possibilities this tractor have to offer, once this is learned one cannot be without it.
The reasion i bought this model/7480 was because a good freind of mine who has been a farmer for over 40 years said this was the tractor i had to buy if i wanted to upgrade my tractor for plowing/snowblowing, he bought his in 2004, it now has 12000 hours and still look like new...he is one petimeter, not use shoes in the cab, they are in the toolbox outside the door :finger:....the only thing he hase had to replaced apart from the usual services was one part on the fuelpump the first month he had it, not one ! brakedown, he have two new bigger MF but he say this is the best tractor he ever had and he will never sell it....that says alot about a model.
Used 7400 Dyna-vt is expensive here, often about 30% higher than than same year 6400.
A good held 2006mod 7480 Tir2 here cost over 45000us$, what is the price in your contry for the same ?
I was a farmer for 10years back at the 90's but a relative took over the farm, i started a carpentery company that took alot of time, maybe i was good at it )) i ended up build 67 residental house with my own hammer, at the end my neck and shoulders was worn out, that's why this 7480 came into the picture, i had to have a little more comfort than my good old 6180 had if i should be able to have my nice moments all winter with my red MF and snow removal as a hobby.
Holy cow...some story about a MF:oops:

You can turn it off with the blister button that’s with the draught/ position, max lift hight and drop speed dials. You shouldn’t need to alter it for weight as it will work it all out on its own

That’s the button, the light above it should come on with the linkage rocker switch in the up/raised position. I’m sure you can only turn it on or off with the linkage up. It should always default to on after starting the engine
