not the case - loss adjuster works for (is paid by) the underwriter and they are incentivised to minimise the claim
i would rather have an underwriter working for me and 100% in my best interest
i fell out big time with a NFU Mutual loss adjuster years ago who was trying to find anyway he could to reduce the replacement value and additional costs we incurred after a grain dryer fire
with our Acres policy this service cost so little extra its a no brainier
