Had a similar issue with a hilux a few years back.brand new vehicle and used it to tow digger to work.went to start it to come home and battery was flat.rang dealer 6 miles away but they did not want to know and said call AA.got a jump start from work mate and got home and called AA.they came out after couple of hours and said battery was dead which I knew.next morning I was at home and called main dealer again and told em it needed a new battery and AA had confirmed this.they said they would need to check it at their premises and to get AA out again to start it and then drive 6 miles to dealer so they could check it.at this point I was getting well pee'd of with their attitude and told em if no one was out within an hour with a new battery I’d go to Does in wymondham in a tractor and get a battery and bill them for it.15 mins later a young lad appeared with a battery and we got the issue sorted.why the hell main dealers can’t be more helpful I’ll never know.the main dealer was Dingles at the time and service then was shite but it’s got worse now SLM have their name over the door.i love toyotas but the dealers are crap and the importers don’t care less.

Ordered March , delivery was going to be Oct /Nov but has been put back to Feb now, factory is only running at 20% of its out put on a good day
what was the spec on that? im guessing the price increase would have been in april

im trying to buy one with no options but metallic paint (so i can add everything myself after), and tbh nobody seems interested in selling me that

Got a 4 year old one, been alright till beginning of summer when it suddenly refused to go into 4wd or low (I miss the good old fashioned lever!!)
Took a lot of time to find and fix the problem and would have cost over £1500 out of warranty!!
Mine averages 23mpg according to the dash, its on aggressive mud tyres and tows a lot.. And likes to regenerate the dpf just as you reach home!!!
