Run them over
Come on thats a bit harsh.
Could lift the booms up so you don't hit them.
Run them over
No signs. Don’t see that many walkers, just the few that are determined to see them all open and sprayed off. What do you do when spraying?
Put up signs?
If I cannot line a tramline up with the path I don’t bother spraying either. If it’s used it’s kept clear, simple.
we have a very vociferous walking group in the village, who keep an eye on all the paths. If you don't do it, you get the council on your back. I had to drive through a 6 ft crop of maize once, with a mini digger .
The main reason i do it though, is it's a x compliance fail if inspected, and i don't want to loose 5% of my payment for the sake of a bit of roundup.
footpaths here, have the same legal rights as say a motorway, with it being a criminal offence to block them. It is also the landowners responsibility to maintain styles etc.I never heard of this. Either it's non existant here or people just don't use them. We only have to allow folks on the 2m strips along waterways. Never seen any there ever.
200l of N32 9.4S03 here so ab out 64 KG/Ha N across everything except the oats, seems to be responding well. Next dose probably not till early next month apart from OSR which will be done as soon as feasible after PGR/TEB All looking really well although my Kerrin had a bit of yellow tipping which it seems to be growing out of.How much N have you all applied so far ?
The right to roam was part of an act pushed through government in the year 2000, one of the legacies of Tony Blair’s reignI never heard of this. Either it's non existant here or people just don't use them. We only have to allow folks on the 2m strips along waterways. Never seen any there ever.
Just had a walk of some on the barley and on the whole it's looking good.View attachment 776180
This "trial" tramline hasn't had any fert on one side and shows how sick crops would now be if N hadn't been applied.
Nb.this was intended and not that I let the spinner run out and forget to go back and correct it once I'd filled up or maybe I went back up the wrong tramline and double dosed the wrong bit.[emoji17]
Cassia 185kg/ha fss no dressing, Suffolk coulter drill on the 3/10/18.How was the barley sown? Looks thick

Its always a gamble. Like you said, next week is looking betterI've totally bodged it up this year and have got any N on yet at all.
Barley and OSR looks hungry. I decided not to go in that warm spell in Feb and ever since then its been windy or too wet.
Next week looks better
Why aren’t you getting on with it haven’t you got 7 bags an acre to get out?I've put no N on yet , not overly worried it looks ok to me

Do it today from the field gate , it’d end up across the fieldToo wet now , soon be lashing it on .
I've regretted NOT aplying it more times than I've regretted applying it. Even if it has horrified my friends and neighbours!I've totally bodged it up this year and have got any N on yet at all.
