Sadly only closed, until some disease ridden stray jumps into your flock.

Not really, it’s not valued by the industry. If you want to show within most Breed Societies, export genetics, or attend most of the terminal sire sales, then it’s worth being Mv accredited. Otherwise it just doesn’t add up financially.
I would suggest it’s worth testing a proportion to monitor the disease though, along with anything brought in.
