Will look DLF up can you remember how many kgs of red clover was in the mix was going to split a 10 acre field into 7 paddocks and rotate sheep every three days would you put white clover into it as well r do you think that might be over doing it ? Bloat
3kgs of Red Clover seed in a 12kg (long term) or 14kg mix is ideal.

Go for it white clover fills bare patches better

I would do this too, maybe as much as 1kg of large leaf white clover if you wanted to cut it.

Red clover will persist a long time but it won't stand much abuse, cutting it low or scalping or driving on it with tankers when its tender it won't like it. It does like regular doses of P and K though.

Few kilos of diploid PRG in the bottom or even timothy would make a lovely cutting mix. 4-6kg Lofa and you will have that for a few years and get great production out of it.

Couple of cuts then store lambs for the rest of the year it had 2 ton of lime/acre before putting in the wheat first week of November but will soil test before sowing to make sure everything up to scratch

Ideal then, wheat comes off in summer, run cultivator gently through to make tilth, sow soon as you can and roll.

If you are going to graze it a bit of diploid PRG would be good so it doesn't look too boney.

What sort of fertiliser would you put in seedbed to get it going no nitrogen at all?

Most legumes respond well to a bit of a sulphur boost.
I know many of my posts sound like I'm trying to sell sulphur fertiliser - I'm not, but we're in a low S area and it's often the limiting factor with pasture performance.
People understand that low moly = low fixation but often don't know about the S or put it off.

Putting N+P+K+Mo doesn't help them much if the S is on the floor!

Many are getting the idea now and looking at ways to use sulphate froms when planning a fert recipe, eg using some AS instead of urea, that type of thing, often transformational.
