VRA and ISOBUS on new drill?

We are upgrading our drill. We have an ISOBUS capable New Holland with steering etc done through an aftermarket FMX 750. We want to be able to do VRA. Is it possible to export an NMEA output from a FMX 750 screen and then use the inteliview IV screen for vra prescriptions and ISOBUS control?
TIA

Sorry can’t be much help, but it’s questions like this that make me appreciate just how simple these things are running jd kit. One screen, import VRA file and go, job done.

Hopefully someone far more knowable than me will be along shortly with an answer for you. Good luck.

I'm sure you will need to unlock the task controller on the intelliview screen to make this work, if memory serves me correctly will be around £600. You will then need to buy or make a cable to export the NMEA signal to the intelliview, again trimble parts not cheap either. How old is the NH tractor and will the drill be brand new?

Might be easier to order the drill with a screen and use that as your rate controller with the NMEA fed in from the fmx screen. The intelliview screen is OK but lacks processor power and memory and is also not the most user friendly to set up and run as a rate controller. The prescriptions also have to be written as a .CN1 file which alot of agronomists won't do, thus making the drill screen the most straight forward way. Or update your steering system to a XCN or GFX and run the whole lot through that, isobus rate control all on one screen at the same time as future proofing you precision farming set up.

Another TFF member has been trying to do VRA through the Case version of Intelliview (Pro700) and it’s been nothing but trouble due to the outdated processor architecture still being sold by CNH. The new version is in the wings, but jeez oh, they should have put Intelliview IV / Pro700 screens out to grass years ago.

I had it set up on a pro700, unlock was costly, to start with and it was downhill from there!
As said above, that screen should have been binned years ago, it can’t cope, It’s a good job it’s well mounted to the arm rest, the amount of times I tried to rip it out of the cab!!! Just had to shut it down and sit and wait for it to reboot 🤬

Have a think about what the source of your prescriptive vr maps will be. They might have a better hardware solution that works well and makes handling the data easier . Spending money on unlocks on the Intelliview and then battling with it may not turn out to be very cost effective.

Yep. Drill brand new. Want to go ISOBUS if I can to future proof the drill. Tractor is a 64 plate.
You may find just a d-plug to find a home for in your future tractor is more ‘future-proof’! The drill screen sits in your nice dry cab; the PCB’s sit on the drill in the dust and vibration are just as likely to become obsolete
