Had exchange box from McConnell, improved for a while but back to poor now. Mine still gets hot on a warm day, only slightly warm in winter. Radiator is bad to clog up needs blowing out daily.Been looking at mine today, same issues
Check your power is straight off the battery, and everything is clean
I soldered all crimp joints today on mine ,the rings on to the battery and took the anderson connector apart and soldered the crimps in there but didnt get a chance to run it long enough to see if its worked
My oil only gets as warm as bathwater (40 degrees )with cooler
Have you had a update done on the box?

May have sorted mineAre these problems we're having a mcconnel only issue or are other makes with similar controls suffering too?
Could you tell us how you did the calibrations please? Put a voltmeter on myself recently
yeah mine is the mk3 box as per linkFollowing link shows how to calibrate the xtc. However think it needs to be a mk 3. Unfortunately in my case my box is a MK2.
How many people out there with McConnel hedgers change the tank breather? Just noticed in the manual that it says to change them every 500 hours??
Could I ask for suggestions for bonnet protection on a Jd 6920? Only doing our own so don't need anything fancy (read expensive!). Managed to break a few grills on the side of the bonnet last year, they are still there so any tips for glueing them back on appreciated. Only snapped at the top or bottom.
Edit: and it's got loader bracket on if that's a help.
I went to my dealers to see if my quick attach brackets and head were there, the new head was there but no quick attach brackets yet . Had a head pressure pipe start to leak today, cost £73 to get one made up. The tank return filter has started leaking again, I think its probably because the O-ring at the top has been cooked when the oil cooler wasn't working. Fed up of oil drips and leaks on a £35k machine.funny you say that I was getting a hyd filter for the cutter today and asked about the breather. he said according to their system I was the first person to ever ask about one. if I wanted one he'd have to order it in so don't think many do it.
