We run a 02 Kramer 418T for the last 6-7 years, although worth slightly outside of that price bracket, it does approximately 500hrs per year with minimal repair costs (sub £1500 outside of servicing and tyres).

1995 jcb 526-55 here, had it ten years. Brilliantly simple, manoeuvrable little machine. Levers in cab go directly onto spool block so no cables to stretch.
Paid just over 7k for it if I remember correctly, probably worth 9-10k now.
Spend a few hundred on it now and again but well worth it. Bargain compared to a new loader for the tractor.

I need to upgrade our yard machine, I’m interested in the CAT forklifts, look good machines for not much money, anything jcb of the similar age/size is 6-7k more

I will just chuck Matbro into the mix. Paid half your budget for my bendy one and couldn’t be without it now. Have spent a couple of grand on pivots and tyres since but not because it wouldn’t work without doing the work.
Matbros are good machines, bother is some parts are becoming obsolete, whereas older jcbs share a lot of bits with 3cx etc, and this means more parts sources. Manitou has a lot of commoner parts too, so you shouldn't be landed with an unfixable machine with either. Personally prefer Manitou, but thats just me.

Is this realistic? For use approx 1hr per day feeding and bedding up.
Yes picked up a Matbro TR200 from Yorkshire last summer @TripleSix looked at it for me. Was cosmetically rough but is a little lion. Would be lost without it now
