I agree with values of approx 2.5k. If I was buying new trailers I would go to lamma and look closely at all the options. Richard western I popular this way but what I’ve seen isn’t especially impressive.

Don’t buy brand new, let someone else take the first big hit on depreciation. Go to Rising Sun trailer hire, they sell off their ex hire fleet for a much better deal.
They don,t depreciate that much over time, when i was looking for a 12 ton in 2011 all the 2nd ones i looked at were expensive 8 to 9 k, i ended up buying a AW on commercial axles with lift off sides and back extension for 11,750, very strong trailer. At least with new you can spec to what you want and everything is working ie brakes lights etc.

Nothing wrong with them in my opinion. Got 2 ancient ones and still going strong.

New models would be as good as any other premium manufacturers, with a price to match though.
Nothing wrong with the "ancient" ones, we had 3 from the 80s and 90s, but their current trailers are awful. Premium price for a budget product.

I personally would keep the wheel barrow as a back up. Only gotta have one flat on the new one and with rain coming at least you or someone can keep fetching grain in.

Handy if you wana shift a bit of muck, chuck a bit of stone in it (tin hat). Contractor fleet I do a bit for have an old 10 tonner that always saves the day! Goes up the banks, nice and light and simple for anyone to jump on.

I've looked at 2nd hand, nearly new trailers and I don't feel what you're saving is a whole heap against new to be fair.

Not be cheaper having a spare wheel, than a spare trailer!?

I m probably over sensitive, but I wouldn't want to look at all the stretched panels on those Gardiner bulk trailers. Makes them look "farm workshoppy"
Imho.

Phil how much does combine tank hold .and how much do you put through it while tipping ?
Can you get 2 tanks full ,and the bit while tipping ,on the run in your proposed new trailer ,
We have been thinking swapping carts , but one full tip on run ,and go ,keeps combine going ,in all but 2 fields ,so leave a trailer on headland ,can pull trailer with smaller tractor ,and will be on floatations this next harvest ,
Depends if you have big enough tractors and how far you have to cart back from field to yard
Mark brock would ,be my first call for those trailers ,he seems to shift plenty genuine clean tidy stuff
