Best power Harrow disc drill combi

I would reckon my lemken with wedge packer will bury seed into anything, even stuff you should be no where near with a drill, definitely better than my old lemken with steel packer.
When you say wedge packer,is that the steel one called the trapeaze packer compared to the standard steel packer? Find our amazone wedge packer leaves the ground to solid to bury seed in tricky conditions.

This is my set up @bobk . Second KV I've owned, as moved to a disc drill and a heavier power Harrow . Used it last spring and hope it isn't too heavy in wetter conditions this autumn. Makes a good job with the Heva press with the moveable paddle boards on the front . Got it on the tractor today to adjust scrapers. Living in hope it will get used soon.

I've seen it and it's super outfit , and not criticising in any way but you need a good weather window imo for combi ,
And as we never get good weather we stick with the operations seperately , I do have a steering wheel attendant available if and when so we can start with 2 p/h and then drop one and chase the 4m with the drill .

So we're not the only ones to have that problem with an amazone then great drill but as you say when conditions get tricky it just won't put seed away. We never got passed the demo stage as our Kuhn made a fool of it they blamed the wedge packer compared to our steel one but I know someone with a lemken on heavy ground and can't get it to bury seed with a steel packer and gets on great with the lemken rubber ring packer.
The Amazone super is mounted on the wedge ring roller, whereas the special is mounted on the A frame of the power Harrow. The super can therefore roll the ground too hard if you are not careful.
Just had our second special delivered yesterday.

Kv or Lemkin power harrow and horsch drill mounted on top , haven’t seen or heard of one done yet but that’s the way I’d be looking next time.
It’s hard to beat the 12 rotors on either the kv or lemkin for getting that nicer tillage.
The horsch seeding system is superb in my opinion. Very easy to calibrate and very accurate at seed placement in any conditions, have a pronto and have sown into very bad conditions this backend with very good emergence, but the pronto won’t work in the muck like a combi as the packer wheels block up and yes we do have some very mucky headlands at times.(the kv combi with Suffolk Coulter’s goes back in to do bad headlands and sometimes even fields...)
The benefits off running both together would be higher output from a combi.

It gets hot but not too bad it’s on a 3/4” return so probably helps.
Ye ours is same , and the oil is cool , it's the other end of motor that's hot , I disconnected from fan to check and it is the motor that's generating the heat , I think it must be a bearing inside motor

If you’re still using it be carful it’s not contaminating your oil with filings from a collapsed bearing.
Take the fitting of the end of the return pipe and tip some oil out to check for shiny bits in the oil.

Too many fancy linkages, wearing parts, lack of rotors and both too expensive. Having run an accord on CX discs, poor penetration and phenomenally expensive to run - avoid.
Sulky good but expensive. Bought a Pottinger on ADD discs - lot cheaper and have to say I'm impressed
We've just got one, also happy with it.

Have one also. The harrow is new, replacing a 10 year old that never gave any trouble even though it went through plenty stony and rocky ground. 10 rotor heavy duty is best on this ground as lets stones through instead of carrying them along with you. Only downside is that it's a bit heavy.

This is ours sat in the dealers yard, fairly heavy, but lighter than a Horsch !!
