I tried to buy a new 100 hp 2wd in 2018, replaced a 2wd case cx80
We also have a 390 2wd. They shared the spraying and fert spreading
We also need a 2wd to get in our cubicle shed , to bed up with a ag dispenser
I didn't have much luck, ended up with a NH T85 with a super steer axle,it's great for spraying if a little underpowered and will squeeze in the shed.
Still using the 390 most of the time, when it will start!
Need to replace it really but with what?
Find rare 2wd, good idea above replacing axle, rough terrain forklift?
Need it as a tractor certain times of the year.

Find a 956 put turbo on it ,I'm sure that out last anything new u can buy, see few them on feeders around here

Large frame 2wd Deeres are common feeder tractors on Large dairys and feedlots in the us, not uncommon to see r series with 15k and higher hours

feck me 16k and that cab i would rather mix it in a barrow
That is pretty cool and my preferred shade of red. But would have to take the grinder to that bar axle though

The older ford's were all 2wd and if you wanted 4wd the dealer supplied a kit you/they bolted on.
There might be some around still with both axles, one lying in the back of a shed somewhere.

Do modern 2wd tractors have the same back end and hitch geometry as the 4wd versions?
With the old school 2wd tractors we had, the weight balance was different and the pick up hitch was much closer to the rear axle. They could turn tighter than a 4wd when nothing was on them, however it was very noticeable that once a grain trailer was fitted the modern 4wd could turn much tighter before the drawbar caught on the rear tyres.

Agco for a time offered the mf 7400 series in the states in Allis Chalmers orange to appease the folks who couldn't see past the color scheme they were riding on......2wd was available but not with cvt...the model pictured would be equivalent to a 7495 if I'm not mistaken

This would probably be ideal bar the fact it’s 40 years old but only done 4000 hours.
