Anyone recommend good farming related books? Have got into books this winter for the first time in all my life

I have read the resilient farm, dirt to soil and cows save the planet. I have ordered English pastoral aswell. A friend is going to loan me holistic management by Alan savoury.

the second one can't be set a million miles from you.

Not far, we go past his place on the way to Market Drayton with stock!

He was a funny old fella, but literally, "ploughed his own furrow"! I had even bought some of his store cattle, usually poor nick, but a whiff of wormer and some grass, and they grew away :)

His kids seem to be making a go of the new enterprise, nice looking stock about and smart new buildings gone up.
