I have a Claas Arion 640 with RTK guidance. I cannot stop it wandering on its line. I have altered sensitivity and attack but no joy , a field recall. Did not help either
Any suggestions out there?

Did you mean to mean to tag Rob, if I'm correct he used to work with Topcon kit not Claas kit and is now MD of Sulky UK? That said @Subaru doesn't specify what brand of precision farming kit he is using.
Yes I did mean to tag Rob, I would be very surprised if he hadn’t come across the system/problem, any help is better than no help 🤷‍♂️

@Subaru if you could give some more details, is it a Claas branded system? S3,7 or 10?

Try the simple things, is the Nav Controller securely bolted down, have you recalibrated it?

If a mounted implement are the check chains/bars loose? If they're fixed solid it will cause weaving.

Hi Andy
It is a Claas system on a 13 year tractor. S10 screen.
When cultivating check chains are loose.
Trailed spraying they are tight with steering drawbar. I did wonder if it gets a little bit off line then tries to over compensate to get the sprayer back on track.
The controller is bolted down and recalibrated two weeks ago and all the boxes are ticked.
RTK Farming put in the sim receiver.

Morning gents,
Sorry but i have no claas experience at all. They were very few and far between in my day. General rule of thumb:
If it was fine then suddelny got worse its either:
a) soil conditions so it will need re tuning to conditions.
b) hard ware failure,

I’m no expert but have just had to replace the SIM card on my system (not claas) because the card was looking for a network that no longer supplies data for rtk. It may well be something simple like that

Hi
Yes it has dual sim.
I have just had the latest updates on the screen and box. As I had purchased the tractor secondhand I did not realise no updates had been done for 6 years!
Let's see how it performs when I go spraying later today. 🤞

So much better than I have had it before, I am more confident in the system now.
One problem was that since the update the screen has cut out on me twice which is annoying as it takes a good 2 minutes to restart.

Claas Gps Guy is coming out to me when I use it again. Just had tractor 2 years, came with the s10 screen and RTK already fitted. Was demo tractor. Since I’ve had it, it’s been hit and miss. Ok for cultivating work, but wouldn’t trust it with the drill yet. Sometimes if I stop for lunch, go back and it won’t match up again. Or even, finish a field, go straight in to the next one and it won’t pick up any sort of signal, which is very annoying!
And like you said, it takes time to restart, mine takes 3/5 minutes. Hopefully a calibration will sort it.

The update was
4.00.20
It took a good 2hrs and what was important was to power down the whole tractor with the isolating switch, then wait for 3 minutes and then power up again to make the RTK talk to the screen.

A long time since I looked at this thread.
The upgrade did not cure the problem but the Claas demo man came out and we fitted a new receiver on the roof which might have been easy if the bolts had not turned without coming undone , but we got there in the end. I have been drilling this autumn and it is now very accurate. The cost of the receiver was approx. £280 so not too bad, no call out costs either.
