Aye very good David, just ruin the whole thread with derogatory comments about my receding hairline. I think we should take this to pm. (Where I definitely won't be telling you how much your sister loves my shiny head.......not the one on my shoulders) :hungry:

The only PM I'll be doing is pounding your melt ya big ride! [emoji109][emoji35]

Those pics are at my uncle's place, don't think that wylie even had a double acting ram, he has a twose buckrake now, same size but shifting grass from an 870! Never had a 290 here, dad's always hankered for a wee 230, were big on the 300 series here, when working at silage with uncle we would have 2 399s 2 390s and 4 390ts on the go

Single acting ram and Spring return on our wylie, meant we could use it on the 5000 that didn't have any spools.

Had 300s and 600 Masseys after the 290,miles better but still glorified 185s.

Before I was old enough to help I was obsessed with watching the buckrake man, proper legend, nash 785 with the cab and exhaust off and a set if ear muffs!

Was never many 600 series in this area for some reason, not that I was aware of anyway, remember having a 590 here though.

Back when you used to wave at every trailer driver coming into the pit and if you were lucky one of them would let u sit in with them for a couple of loads[emoji1]

Haha yeah i was more of a thumbs up kid myself. Then one day after years of pleading, they were short of drivers so I got to cart silage.......though had to keep swapping tractors at gate cos couldn't drive on road! Who'd have thought it would become my least favourite job!!

Last year was the first year I've ever had to wait for trailers on the forager,I took full advantage and had several power naps throughout the day

Tend not to get sleepy on the forager and hate waiting for trailers but I also don't like having trailers waiting to be loaded, much better when its all timed perfectly!!
