I should have taken a photo of the tv article which was down the side on bloomberg.500 billion is insane amounts of money. The whole CAP is worth 63 billion. 500 million is fairly meaningless
Maybe correct the thread title. youve sent boss farmer apoplectic!I should have taken a photo of the tv article which was down the side on bloomberg.
Sure it said billions
Yup our leaders and influencers would re wild loads of land and then import more of the food we don’t produce. Joined up thinking has “gone for a walk”. Are those in Westminster really that devoid of common sense. I almost feel like going there into the chamber and telling them to “stop, look around you and the country and deal with the basics”. Infuriating! Our Top Team probably read that report as “The EU will be producing lots of yummy food which they will then sell to us, so let’s buy any saplings and wild bird mix seed they don’t want.”
Thats just shot a few in the arse on here who still havent got over brexit. Imagine boris or george announcing £2.50/ha to help ease input pricesIt works out at roughly £2.50/ha for each EU production hectare.
It will come. BBC news in Liverpool docks talking to a chap having to pay £14 for tomatoes instead of 8-10 normally.Yup our leaders and influencers would re wild loads of land and then import more of the food we don’t produce. Or you could end up with just the ELMS to rely on!So £1/acre. Wonder how much they’d get for a catastrophe fund? £2/acre? And what about an apocalypse fund? £5/acre? Or a planet-ending fund? £7.50?
Getting a ,15 centimes a litre rebate on red , from Macron, for the next 6 weeks so we can top out the tanks. Every little helps!Or you could end up with just the ELMS to rely on!
