Farm drive and delivery drivers

Just wondering if any body else has a problem with their farm drive being on the sat nav maps. Our farm drive is a dead end, but we get all sorts of delivery drivers driving up it only to realise it’s a dead end and then turning back sometimes driving very fast as they are not happy they have driven so far and had to turn back. We have a no through road sign but it doesn’t make any difference.
cheers

Anti "twin axle caravan crew " bar across gateway so cars get through but nothing higher, but not much use if you are having regular deliveries for yourself .
It’s regularly used that’s the problem. We get cyclists as well who have to turn back. It’s concrete to the farm then a farm track leading to fields once past the buildings, and they go all the way even on the track and get stuck turning round.

What I need to do is remove it from the sat nav maps. Somebody has even given it a name on the map!

Get some road signs made up with a different name than the one on the map, place on the end of the lane.
It’s got the name of the farm and no through road on the sign already. Seems it has got a lot worse since the end of the first lock down. One driver even got to the gate at the end of the track and hung a carrier bag with a parcel in it for some body who lives half a mile further down our lane.😆

Just make sure they are all 'lost sat nav' drivers and not bogus delivery boys pretending to have lost their way .
They are busy at the moment . Have stopped 2 in the last fortnight.....no parcels in the van at all !
It’s a good thought. They are Amazon drivers and dpd mainly. Like I said above it’s got steadly worse.

Sat nav companies can be contacted and roads removed from the database. There has been a couple of threads on here about contacts etc, but I can’t find them in the search box.
My private drive has now been removed by the sat nav companies and 95% of this problem has gone away. Unfortunately, certain delivery companies use part of the ethnic community who don’t use upgraded maps. These are the ones who won’t get out if there is a dog about.:D
The latest issue I now have is the council naming the public no through road leading to my private drive xxx farm lane which is not helpful. It may be worth checking it hasn’t crept onto the council definitive map if it has a name.
I thought you were looking at electric gates a year or so ago?

This used to be a problem though, could have cars parked both sides, mainly dog walkers and a few ramblers. Family no longer use the place, when dad died the tenancy ended, Yorkshire Water now want to develop the old stone built buildings into a small community of around 8 "quality" properties, must say though the rent was ridiculously cheap. 50 years on they want a better return I imagine.

I'd pity any driver who went past the buildings now, the rain has virtually washed the road away, and YW have their own private track to get to the Reservoir above.

I got so pee'd off towards the end of 2020 with Amazon drivers coming to ask for directions if they saw us or just leaving the parcel if there was nobody about.

98% of the time it was for the same house. After getting fed up of moaning at drivers, keeping the item for a few weeks before getting around to re delivering it I fianally asked the house if they could change their address for Amazon.

They seemed genuinely devestated that it was causing us hassle and since then it has completely stopped.

I couldnt get my head round how the driver was different nearly every day, never even semi local.... 1 clown came in 3 times in a week looking for the same house! By the third time the look on my face was enough for him to find his bearings 😆
