Agopengps via canbus is probably the cheapest option.
@andyinv
Where i work had a 4220 running the solsteer bridge link coupled to jd dome and screen for autosteer but the jd stuff is bloody expensive. Think jcb use trimble as standard but again still quite expensive and you'll need a nav controller and a trimble screen to run it

Depends how much you want to spend but solsteer bridge with a JD auto steer system would be my go to.
The JD steering and mapping is amazing, I run Trimble in a fendt and the Deere system in my JD and it’s far easier to use, set up and view remotely. So much so it’s a big factor in pricing / spec new tractor. The Trimble system you need to faf around where as the Deere system if your just wanting a straight line in a field not saved you can throw quick lines out etc.

All I really want is to be able to set a straight line easily. Fields won't be saved. Might be useful to be able to set a boundary 24m into a field to help lifting and lowering a drill but this is not a necessity. Main jobs will be mowing, raking and drilling. What are the approx guide prices for whatever equipment is necessary new or used to get me setup. I am clueless regarding guidance systems

AgOpenGPS you just need a Windows 10 tablet and a PCB and antennae.

Plug it into the Fastrac CanBus with a couple of wires.

Easily under £1k for the whole setup.

If near an existing basestation, you will have RTK for free, or setup your own basestation for circa £300.

Agopengps will do all you want it to do and more. Can be easily achievable by yourself if your competent with electronic components and some wiring. Plenty of help and info on here and the github.
As Andy26 said you'll need a canbus pcb windows 10 tablet and an antenna. Pretty sure the gps connectors on the fastcrap is behind the passenger seat on the floor

What equipment and likely cost is involved getting this machine to autosteer? New or secondhand . Tia
We have a retro fit RTK System running on a number of Fastrac's as well as many many other machines in the UK.
Whatsapp 07810 860503 and I can share pictures and videos
Thanks
